Install WordPress using cPanel
curious about using WordPress to make a blog or website?
This video will show you ways to put in it on a hosting account that has cPanel.
Not sure what cPanel is or if you've got it?
If
you purchased a Tezhost hosting plan for Linux as against a hosting
plan for Windows then you've got cPanel. It is essentially a dashboard
to assist you manage aspects of your hosting account, including files,
settings, and applications like WordPress.
To get to your cPanel dashboard, sign in to your Tezhost account and click My Products. In your products list, locate Web Hosting, and then click Manage
You’ll see an inventory of all of your hosting accounts and domain names.
In this example, Jane has just one: California Flower Farms .com.
Notice that 'cPanel' appears under the Manage button. Click Manage to open cPanel.
This is the cPanel dashboard. Now we will install WordPress. Under Web Applications,
click WordPress
Installation opens to an summary page about WordPress. You don’t got to spend any time here WordPress hosting. You don’t got to spend any time here
unless
you’d wish to learn more about WordPress. Let’s keep going and click on
‘Install this application.’ The Installation install wizard will guide
you thru the installation of WordPress.
It
provides instructions and helpful information about each field. Here
are few important things to recollect .First, in the Location section,
be sure the domain you would like to put in WordPress on appears within
the Domain field.
In our example, Jane has just one domain so it automatically appears within the Domain field.
If
Jane owned other domains, or had created sub domains ,they would
appear within the sink menu [click].Next, leave the Directory field
empty, if you would like to use WordPress because the website for the
domain you chose.Not sure what that means?
Let’s say Jane types “blog” within the Directory field. WordPress are going to be installed on CaliforniaFlowerFarms .com/blog,
and that are going to be the online address for the page or site she creates with WordPress.
But then later Jane decides [typing] she wants to create a full website for her business
and she or he wants the online address to be CaliforniaFlowerFarm .com.
She’ll got to either re-install WordPress on CaliforniaFlowerFarms .com or move or copy the WordPress installation to her CaliforniaFlowerFarms .com domain.
Finally,
in the Settings section, you’ll see that an Administrator User name and Administrator Password are provided. Be sure to notice them, [typing] or change them to something you'll remember. When all the fields and options are set the way you would like them, click Install.
